I really found that the wooden serving board has a 100% waterproof finish. And as usual the RegalCook’s serving board is very smooth to the touch and when you look at it for the first time you see how clean it is and what a nice mirror image look there is. Also you don’t need a mineral oil to seal it at your first use – cause it’s already sealed. Although with proper care and attentive knife techniques that it will perform as expected for many years to come. On the flat side I use it as a cutting board.
I am an owner of 3 restaurants and we are always looking for unique premium products to create a better customer stay in the restaurants. Before we were serving food (for two or more people) in porcelain big saucers, then went to the wooden products. So, since we bought about 30 pieces from RegalCook's board, we do not think we should change it, because we use the board to serve some of our main dishes. And, the features of the serving board allow great creativity.
I am in love with this serving board! It's arrived perfectly conditioned and ready to go. I spend most of my day cooking for myself, my mother, and my dogs (yes really). It's beautiful and multi functional. It's also great for baguette slices. The grooves on the carving side are deep enough to hold the juices of a 5 pound chicken without running over. It's big enough to hold a smaller turkey. This truly is a three-in-one board (cutting board, serving board with skewers). The handles that are built in to the sides make it easy to move the serving board from the counter to the table or the bar. I have used beech wood for years and prefer it over other woods in the kitchen. It arrived so well packaged. Don't worry about it breaking in transit, and the box is nice enough.
This premium serving board has nicely beveled edges. I love the size of this wooden serving board and although it is a little heavy for moving and cleaning. I treat it like a baby. :)
I can't begin to tell you how many serving boards I've gone through; always searching for that perfect one. I've used everything wood, plastic, bamboo boards and have never in my life been so satisfied with a purchase like this one. I've owned this board for nearly a year and all I can say is that this serving board is WONDERFUL! It's very substantial and heavy so it doesn't shift around on my countertop when I use it as a chopping board (especially if you put a kitchen towel under it), my knives love it because it does not dull the edges, and it is beautifully crafted and sturdy. I use the flat side as a chopping board and the other side as a serving board. It is an absolute joy to use it and is not too difficult to care for it. To clean the board I use ONLY a cloth with a drop of beewax which is enough to stay clean and dry. Also I oil it faithfully every month or two. So, everytime it looks nearly brand new. You really can't go wrong with this wooden serving board.
Hello, I made this arrangement on the serving board with food I prepared for 6 people (my friends/guests). They were fascinated by the dinner presentation. I hope that you are also fascinated and appreciate my idea of serving food with the board in this way.
If you use it as a serving board you have to know that the size is perfect for a good amount of cheese, fruits, vegetables, also chicken, burgers, fries and other snacks. The holes for bowls make a great presentation for parties. You can even put beer in these holes and look great when watching a match with a friend.
The wooden serving board looks very luxurious when you see it live. Generally, I use it mainly to serve meals to friends, neighbors and guests, usually when I do a barbecue. A very beautiful arrangement is made when you squeeze the two skewers into the two special holes on the board. You can put meat and vegetables for example. I also use it as a chopping board.
This is truly a high quality product. Purchased 3, since this is a wood product each is unique, but beautiful. Real wood has such individual character. Extremely well packed. Good price for this premium product, solid construction. Will be purchasing more as gift, you will not be disappointed with this product - honest!
